
Dr. Bonnie Liao, the Lead Founder & Board Chair, has been the Principal & Trustee of YingHua Language
School, which she founded in May 2002. YingHua Language is the first
community-based school accredited by CSS at Middle States
Association of Colleges and Schools. She has also initiated and
designed the "YingHua in Beijing" Summer Language & Leadership
Institute providing learning opportunities to American youth ages 8
to 17 who spend a month in China. She has been the Director of the
program since 2004. In May 2007, she founded YingHua International
School (aka YingHua Day School) as one of the first Chinese-English
dual language schools in the United States combining language
immersion with an internationally-focused inquiry-based curriculum framework. After working for a large
financial firm as VP of Management Science for a decade, she taught
math at a top private college preparatory high school in New Jersey.
Born and raised in China, she received her Ph.D. in Physics from the
University of Houston and an MBA in Finance & Information
Technology from Rutgers University.

Ms. Jennifer Ahaghotuhas extensive teaching
experience in dual language immersion schools and the implementation
of IB framework. She is dedicated to helping children develop both
academically and social/emotionally with innovative and quality
instructional materials. She taught a wide spectrum of children in
public and private, monolingual and bilingual schools in New York
City. Ms. Ahaghotu received a BA in History from Harvard University
and a Master in Dual Language/Bilingual Elementary Education, Bank
Street College of Education, New York City. Ms. Ahaghotu spent a
year in Madrid, Spain, teaching English and immersing herself in
Spanish culture and language.

Ms. Fran Atchisonhas worked in public education in
both the K-12 and higher education sectors. For the last 12 years Ms. Atchison
has served as Director of Grants Development and Implementation for the Newark Public
Schools. In that capacity she has helped to secure more than $50 million in direct
federal grants for the district, including a nearly $14 million Striving Readers grant in
support of adolescent literacy. Ms. Atchison completed her undergraduate education
in sociology at Lincoln University in Pennsylvania, and graduate work in sociology and
demography at Princeton University. Ms. Atchison's perspective on the K-16 education
pipeline is refreshed daily as she and her husband, the Reverend Samuel K. Atchison,
educate and support twin first-graders, a high school senior, and a college sophomore.

Mr. E.J. Blieyis an accomplished business
management consultant with a specialization in leveraging
information systems and technology. He has architected and
implemented a wide range of solutions from compensation management
and organizational effectiveness measurement to workflow management
and B2B/B2C e-commerce solutions. He has conducted scores of
corporate training seminars and sessions around the country for
organizations as diverse as IBM, Hershey Foods, Dupont, Allegany
Power, Wachovia, the Department of the Navy and the Pennsylvania
Department of Education. Mr. Bliey aims to leverage his business,
marketing, IT and project management training and experience to
support the administrative and operational requirements of the
school.

Mr. Parker Block,
a resident of Princeton, is the Vice President of Marketing and
E-Commerce for Signature Styles, LLC, in New York City. His international career
spans twenty years and three continents. After completing his BA in History and
Political Science at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Mr. Block began his career
with the Otto Versand Group in Hamburg, Germany. Mr. Block worked in various
marketing and merchandising capacities for the Otto Group in Germany, France, China,
Taiwan and the United States. As the Chief Representative in Shanghai, China, Mr. Block
opened a buying office which became the Otto Group’s largest sourcing operation in Asia.
Mr. Block is fluent in German and French and has studied Mandarin. He and his wife,
Annie, are the parents of two boys.

Dr. Stuart Chen-Hayes, a resident of Plainsboro, is Associate Professor of Counselor Education/School Counseling at CUNY/Lehman College. His research is in equity-focused school and college counseling program development and LBGT counseling and advocacy. He is president of the North Atlantic Region Association for Counselor Education and Supervision, a co-founder of Counselors for Social Justice, and consults with The Education Trust's National Center for Transforming School Counseling and the College Board's National Office for School Counselor Advocacy.

Dr. Bob Eng, a resident of West Windsor, has had
a unique career as both an educator and investment professional. A
product of 11 years of after-school Chinese language education, he
also taught bilingually in New York. Bob holds a master degree
in bilingual childhood education from Brooklyn College at the City
University of New York and a doctorate in human development and
psychology from Harvard University's Graduate School of Education.
In addition to NYC public schools, Bob has taught in the
education department at Colgate University and graduate education
courses at the New School and New York University. He has
served as Chair of the Board of the YingHua Language School and
YingHua International School since inception.

Dr. Ed Greene, a resident of South Brunswick, is
a senior consultant and advisor in the field of child development,
early learning and children's media environments, and currently
serves as a senior advisor to Cito USA (a subsidiary of Cito, the
Netherlands) as part of its introduction of the Pyramid Method of
Early Education in the United States. This work includes the
collaborative work with Georgia State University in rolling out the
formative implementation research in 14 pilot sites, as well as
developing ongoing introductions of the Pyramid Approach to
professionals in the field of early care and education.

Dr. Yibin Kang,
a resident of Princeton, received his Ph.D. degree from
Duke University and is currently a Professor of Molecular
Biology at Princeton University. He is a world-leading expert in
breast cancer research and has published over 40 research articles
in leading scientific journals. Dr. Kang has been recognized by many
prestigious awards, including an American Cancer Society Scholar
Award, a Department of Defense Era of Hope Scholar Award, and the 2011 Vilcek Prize for Creative Promise in Biomedical Science.
Kang teaches two cancer biology courses in Princeton and serves as a
faculty advisor for pre-med undergraduate students at the
Rockefeller College of Princeton University. Dr. Kang and his wife
Ling live in Princeton with their daughter Michelle and son Evan.

Ms. Yu Miao, a resident of West Windsor, has extensive
teaching experience in special Education, dual language immersion
and ESL. She started her professional teaching career as a
university English teacher after she earned her Bachelor’s degree in
English Education. Her teaching background was further developed and
extended in the US, where she obtained her Master’s degree in Special
Education at Auburn University, AL. As a certificated special
education teacher, she taught remedial reading in a public middle
school in Alabama. She is passionate about dual language education
and striving to design and deliver quality instruction to students
at various ability levels. Currently, she is a head teacher of pre-K/K at
YingHua International School, a Chinese-English bilingual school
offering dual language programs within the IB curriculum framework.

Ms. Joy Zhao, is passionate about dual language education and has extensive experience in designing and developing dual language Mandarin immersion curriculum and in teaching Mandarin Chinese to students of different ages and language backgrounds. Ms. Zhao was the Director for three years at YingHua International School, one of the first private schools in the nation combining the Mandarin Chinese immersion education with the inquiry-based curriculum framework. She was born in China and graduated from Guangzhou Teacher's College with a B.A. in English. After she came to the U.S., she obtained a master's degree from University of Bridgeport in Elementary Education and a master degree from Fairfield University in Community
Counseling.
