What is the 100% Support Campaign?
A fundraising effort that aims for 100% participation from all PIACS families.
Our goal is high because we know that EACH and EVERYONE of you values your child’s education. By supporting PIACS, you are not only supporting your child’s education, but also the education of all the children in the PIACS community (and generations to come!) Our kids are worth it!
What is our goal?
Our goal is to raise $90,000 before May 1, 2011. That is $529 per student, or about $1.44 a day for a year per child . We understand that some families cannot give this amount, while others may be able to give more – regardless; EVERY CONTRIBUTION COUNTS no matter how small or large.
Aren’t my tax dollars already going to fund PIACS?
Yes, you are contributing valuable tax dollars. However, due to state budget cuts, $150,000 originally earmarked for PIACS was effectively taken away. We needed these “gap” funds to cover school start up costs.
For what will the funds be used?
The funds will be used to cover expenses such as professional fees, the building lease and other costs associated with opening our doors in September.
What if I can’t afford to give $529 dollars at this time?
Again, it takes a village to raise a child. This is the perfect time to ask family and friends to give a gift that could truly impact your child’s future (more so than any toy or wrapped gift!) Talk to your loved ones about giving a tax-deductible contribution.
How do I contribute?
You can make your TAX-DEDUCTIBLE contribution by check or an online payment.
To make your donation go further, we encourage sending a check to avoid service fees charged by PayPal that will not directly benefit PIACS.
