CSL Literacy Specialist

Due to the nature of our immersion model as well as our expected number of CSL students, a part-time Literacy Specialist providing CSL support will be employed to provide direct services to students and teachers. The Literacy Specialist will provide strategic literacy interventions and academic support to struggling learners, and will provide professional development, modeling, coaching, resources, and other support to help teachers integrate literacy development in their classroom practice. Both English-dominant and Chinese-dominant students will benefit from an onsite professional who can provide a variety of effective literacy strategies, as the students learn to read and master the transfer of literacy skills from one language to another.
